All bars are oversize in tolerance for press to fit applications, with sharp corners and cut (not sheared) edges. Each bar is 12 inches in length, zinc plated and marked for size.

Material Specification: nearest equivalent BS 970 part 1, Imperial Range EN2B Grade 080A17 AISI 1018, Metric Range EN8D Grade 42 AISI 1045.

Tolerances: Imperial ¾ inch and below .0002 to +.005, Metric .00mm to +.08mm

Physical Properties: Tensile strength – 75/85000lbs per sq. inch; Yield 60/70000lbs per sq. inch; % elongation in 2 inch: 18-25%; % reduction in area in 2 inch : 50-55%; Brinell hardness range: 150-155.
